  1. I have not seen one of these for 40 years. Today, I saw one in my garden and called my wife over to see it. I have told her of them in the past but she had never seen one. We stood about a foot and a half from it as it dined on our container flowers. It was thrilling not only to see one again, but to be able to share it with my wife was priceless.

    • Awesome! Yes I have them each year as they adore my Butterfly Bush Purple and White Ones they have hung out with me all season here in NH and thanks goodness as all else pretty much was a no show. 🙂

  2. Aren’t these the most intriguing insects? The first time I saw one I thought it was a baby hummingbird until I saw the antennae.
